François holds a Master of Science in general microbiology from Pasteur Institute, Paris, France, and a Ph.D. from Università Cattolica Del Sacro Cuore, Piacenza, Italy. After 20+ years working for major dairy (Nestlé, Danone, Savencia), confectionary (Barry Callebaut) food business companies, consultancy for Food Safety Microbiology Hygiene, he has joined in November 2024 the French dairy cooperative SODIAAL (https://sodiaal.coop/) within the central quality team as director of laboratory methods and microbiology. François is delegate of France at the International Dairy Federation since 2010. He is member of the Standing Committees on Methods for Dairy Microbiology (SCMDM) and on Food Hygiene (SCFH). He is presently chair of the SCFH. He represents IDF in different ISO TC34 SC9 and SC5 Working groups, and Codex Alimentarius Committees. François is scientific collaborator in DiSTAS, Università Cattolica Del Sacro Cuore since 2022. He is active in the two following European projects TITAN (https://titanproject.eu/ - Enabling transparency in food supply chains) and CATALYSE (https://thecatalyseproject.eu/ - Catalysing scientific innovation into food safety action).
